Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm’s stool Georg has been put into production by the Danish manufacturer Skagerak. The stool, which was originally created for Danish Crafts’ exhibition MINDCRAFT12, has since evolved into a full furniture series.

In addition to the stool, Skagerak’s new Georg series also includes a bench, a table, a mirror and a wardrobe pole with hangers suspended in leather straps. The Georg series was launched at Copenhagen’s new design and lifestyle fair Design Trade, 28-30 August 2013 at Bella Center.

Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm (b. 1977) graduated as a furniture designer from The Danish Design School (now the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design). She was one of the selected designers to take part in Danish Crafts’ exhibition MINDCRAFT12 in 2012, where she presented the stool Georg. MINDCRAFT12 was curated by designer Cecilie Manz.

MINDCRAFT is the name of an exhibition concept that Danish Crafts has presented in Milan and London since 2008. The exhibitions show experimental and innovative works by some of Denmark’s leading craftspeople and designers. The most recent exhibition – MINDCRAFT13 – was curated by the designer duo Salto & Sigsgaard and presented at Ventura Lambrate during the Milan design week, 9-14 April 2013.
